Product Description

Stainless steel 347 Flanges is a method of connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. It also provides easy access for cleaning, inspection or modification. Flanges are usually welded or screwed. Flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal.

Stainless Steel 347 Flanges (UNS S34700) is columbium stabilized austenitic stainless steel plate with good general corrosion resistance and somewhat better resistance in strong oxidizing conditions than 321 (UNS S32100). It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 1500F (427 816C). The alloy has good oxidation resistance and creep strength to 1500F (816C). It also possesses good low temperature toughness.
